The PCSO mission is to help establish a clear, fair and practical, tax and legislative framework in Ireland to cover the Professional Contracting Sector. The PCSO exists to support, promote, and have the sector recognised as an engine for growth, innovation, and job creation in the economy. It works to ensure the sector is supported by well qualified, knowledgeable practitioners who abide by the strict code of practice of the PCSO.
The members are those providing professional services to Independent Professional Contractors.
The PCSO has created a Forum for all those involved in the sector; Recruitment Agencies, Professional Associations such as IBEC, ICA, ITI, and Governmental Departments together with agencies such as IDA, Enterprise Ireland and the Revenue Commissioners. All of these organisations have participated in the PCSO Forum which demonstrates their awareness of the importance of the professional contracting sector to Ireland’s economy.
The outcomes of these Forum include several submissions to Government, and lobbying of Government to Recognise, Nurture, and Support the sector to make it an engine of innovation, creativity and job creation in the economy.
The PCSO will continuously work to have the role of the Independent Professional Contractor recognised as a major positive participant in the modern day economy.
